Big Brake kits?

Ok.. checked the site.. they do have a 2 kit for 12 13 and 14 inch... but wheeeaaaow the price. $1700+ for a front only kit....

A BBK doesn't allow you to stop harder; it prolongs pad life by allowing them to wear evenly with better heat dissipation for racing applications.

I'd agree with you 100% if it wasn't for the fact that we have rear drums. I think we may actually see a little improvement if the rears were changed to discs.

You are a bit wrong

A BBK will let you stop harder and in control better than an OEM setup

The very fact that the BBK can provide the same stopping power, while dissipating and storing the energy better, results in a more controlled and safer stop.

If what you said was true... All cars would just have a boat anchor in the trunk or we would just stop by hitting a wall because it works...

Further to the point, Just the fact that you can lock up the front wheels on both OEM and BBK, does not mean they are both limited to the grip of the front tires... and therefore are both as capable as stopping the car..

LOLCANO..

You are both saying that any brake over the bare minimum to bring the car to a stop is adequate and anything more than that is overkill and a waste.

The post you made was junk.

The OP wanted a BBK, you basically told him that he was dumb for wanting them.

I'm telling you, that if money were no object, all cars should have larger brakes installed from the factory.

Some people even doing daily driving can easily out perform the OEM brakes on this car, Stop and go Traffic, or some people who drive too close and make frequent hard applications.

The luxury of a race team is that they can change parts frequently. The Normal Joe cant be taking their car apart each weekend to address basic maintenance.

EDIT: Further, You never even bothered to ask him if he has upgraded rims or tires.. Seeing how you are all about the contact patch, seems like a pretty ignorant assumption on your part.

Drilled and slotted rotors are ricer trash. Buy blanks.

Which is why all Ferrari, Porsche, Lambo, Lotus, Yamaha, Ducatti, Triumph etc have "Ricer Drill Holes" in their brakes factory...

The main point of the tread was.

"What BBK Kits are available"

not

"Do I need a BBK"

Who the eff are you to decide for someone what they should and should not spend money on... and how useless is it to fill the thread with all this crap that has nothing to do with answering the question.

GO START YOUR OWN THREAD AND INVITE EVERYONE TO DISCUSS.
Nobody gives a s*** about the opinion of a 2 post Troll Account.

Alright... This thread will be cleaned. In the mean time... Go and do some research before spouting out crap. I didn't read most of this cause of all the ego talk.
And album... 2 out of 3 of your posts have been useless, and the other was in the wrong section. One more useless post and you are gone.

So does this mean we can get back to talking about brake kits? Cus I'm seriously curious about Fiesta crossover fitment on the Wilwood kits... I was hoping Ryno666 might have a report...

If they fit, I'll have one ordered before the week is out.

Wow things got hairy while I was away! Anyway my wilwood kit will be here next week and we will be installing on my friend's fiesta. I'll let you guys know what's different.

Awesome. I'm looking forward to the report... This will become my last summer project if fitment is right. I'd do both front and rear kits from Wilwood.. (albiet maybe not on the same paycheque!)

There's actually a girl I work with who's done a full brake replacement so she said she'd come over and help me for beer. I can't complain there!

No sir ;).

I know this was said before, but I'd like to see, actually see not hear about, a Modified Miata BBK fitment for this car.

Agreed. To be honest.. any brake kit!

TBH I'm sure I'm doing it partly for looks... but thinking about how sexy those willwood brakes would look front and rear.. black calipers, black rims, black car... So hot...

How come I never meet girls like that?

If any one is interested in the Ksport Big Brake Kits please PM me for best price. Which will be lower than the price stated above. ;)

Guess i missed all the BBK commotion over here. I didn't get to read the ridiculousness dammit! :(

There seems to always be someone to call others out on BBK's that "supposedly" have no business on a certain car. Don't even get them started by stating that you want a BBK kit for the looks cuz that'll start a riot! :)
