Big Brake kit

ummm, u got specs on the evo 8 brakes? i no their bigger no doubt. i think the disk should fit.... but i dont think their calipers will fit, might need a custom bracket made.

Check out ProtegeGarage.com, its all you really need. Ken is offering a full kit for the front or all 4. I should have the full kit installed sometime this week. I let you know.

I haven't experienced the kit in person but I've heard really good things about it. Yeah it might not have the sex appeal of the other big brake kits on the market but it's a nice upgrade.

You would definately need a custom bracket made for the EVO's brembo calipers to fit...I think EVOs have 5X114.3 BPs, so as long as the center bore is big enough, the rotors would at least fit our studs...

It may require some master cylinder upgrades too...in order to the get the pedal effort correct...

either way...it is very pointless to deal with unless you somehow got a set of EVO brakes for really cheap....there are plenty of upgrades available that will already fit proteges...

You know, they do have the hub size at 67.1mm and the lug pattern at 5x114.3 but I really doubt that the bracket holding the caliper is the same. But it would be nice to find out.

I don't know the offset of those wheels, but I believe they are 8" wide...an 8" wide wheel with +48mm or more will rub on the strut...but any less and the tire will definately rub on the fender...8" is tough to get to fit...

You could to stretch a 215 width tire over those wheels though, which may allow enough room to clear the fender if the offset is right...but I think those Enkeis are in the ~+30mm offset range, which would require some serious fender rolling probably even at stock ride height...

anything is possible...but it seems like a lot of work for one particular wheel...
