2002 protege es
I am trying to do the big 3 on my 2002 protege es, it seems the alternator is very hard to get at..how would be my best bet at running a power cable from alt to battery?

also since im here I have a few questions about my protege

I just recently had a problem where if I used to many power options (windows,ac rear defrost,wipers)..My battery would start losing power, abs light would come on, followed by stereo turning off e brake light and then the car finally dying, a boost would fix this
I got my alternator rebuilt and it still seems to happen, althoughto not as high a degree
the only fix to this is if I see the abs light rev the engine and that usually fixes it (driving a 5 speed)

I alos notice If I rev my engine from idle at night, my lights become brighter and my dash lights also become brighter...any help would be helpful

I'd give you a route for the Big 3 if I had my protege for more then 2 days. You should be able to follow the the stock lead though, by the alt being at the back of the motor that will more then likely involve some under-car adventures. Also if possible shorten the alt-batt cable. What gauge are you planning on going with?
As for the electrical issue. Try seeing if any one option in particular seems to be causing it more then the others, something could be wrong with a ground or the fuses causing it to drain improperly. In fact, while looking into the big 3 go ahead and clean off all your grounds, scuff the metal where they are with steel wool, or sand paper if you need to get rid of paint, and if you want them to stay clean add some silicone on top of them. You could also upgrade some important ground wires depending on how much wire you have for your big 3 upgrade since that will help. Same as keeping the ground the same gauge as the live on am amp, what goes in must come out in order for the circuit to function, the better it comes in and out the more efficient it will work.

Sounds like your alternator is dying.
On the RX7, the alternator charge wire is ran to the main fuse on the output side.
Battery cable----Fuse----Alternator charge wire
