best turbo kit

As for customer service.... Juan has gone out of his way for me on numerous times...

He may be "slow" at getting to new customers ...but the amount of PMs and emails he gets on a given day is crazy... I will VOUCH that all of his PAID CUSTOMERS get 110% of his time and effort.

He has even sold things at his cost to many members on this board in light of engine problems (not caused by the kit)... including Juan.

His products are proven both on the dyno and on the strip.

(if you all read threads regarding kits... no HIBOOST owner EVER says anything bad about the other kits...but as always...there is always an attack on hiboost)

I know a ton of people use the hiboost FMIC for the MSPs. I chose SMIC, mainly because there hasn't been a FMIC kit out there that I liked, be it looks, price, function, etc.

For the money, I must say I have always been impressed by what hiboost offers. I still remember Pirana's car and what a monster it was.

Beau is a great guy and is offering an excellent product, but we still need to see more of his kits on the street and see the results.

There are tons of MAM kits right here on the boards, from MSPs to MP3s to P5s to regular, everyday proteges. I just don't usually hear people talking about HiBoost all that much, although I'm sure people are buying Juan's kit for that price.

yes they are. im not attacking hiboost, the damn kit was kick ass (i rode in vics car and took pics at his magazine shoot), but i was commenting on customer service.

i think cuz MAM is fairly new to this community its the new buzzword now.. look back a year ago or so and see how much buzz there was about the HiBoost kit. its about equal.

EDIT: Customer Service is a bit slow but its there 100%.

i personally like the kit i have... it's not a full MAM kit, but it has a few parts from the mam kit... (exhaust manifold... downpipe... some intercooler piping) and a gt28r (mam kit is with gt28rs i believe) i'm almost done with my build... just a few things i'm still tuneing... so far i love having a turbo in my pr5 and i think the mam parts are top knotch...

since a few parts are mam... of coarse i'm going to tell you to buy from mam... it's only logical... i like the product it makes me extremely happy and the cust support is definately there...

now the only reason i'm saying this is because it's not right to bash hiboost for posting here... yes... state your opinion... but don't bash somebody straight up like that... it's just not professional...

if your are promoting mam... jut state the specs like you did... its kewl... and call it a day... let the person asking the question figure out how the retailer and the kit is by reading the forums.

i'm sure the person asking the question is going to decide what kit he wants to buy ... it's his money... hehe

(please don't take what i said in offence...)

juan,

the only thing that i dislike about your company is your customer service. it gets done, but at YOUR pace. there are many a threads on this forum complaining because they cant get a hold of you, or you were supposed to send something but broke contact.

a perfect example is ahmad having to wait MONTHS for the e6x map. i know i have messaged you many times and never gotten one response from you.

this would be ok, asi know you travel a lot, but yet i see that you post quite often on the RSX forums, while ahmad here ont his forum is begging people for a map to get his car working.

also, i disagree with what you say about your kit...sure it is a little cheaper than beaus street sleeper kit, but all of his parts are powder or jet coated. i would spend a little extra money and have the kit looking sicker and also have the customer service.

frankly, if something breaks or goes wrong with your kit and something goes wrong with the MAM kit, i would bet my next paycheck says the end user would get a hold of beau LONG before they get a hold of you.

ONLY THOSE THAT OWN THE MANUFACTURER's kit should be commenting on the level of CUSTOMER service.

It doesn't make sense to do other wise....

If you do... all you are doing is basing it on what you percieve on this board.... you do not see the phone calls and the emails and PMs that Juan does for its customers....

THIS thread is a perfect example...

Matthew should post about the MPI as well -- hehehe
i already did.

toronto - im not commenting on the kit, just on what i have seen with others and myself trying to contact juan. i was saving up for a hiboost but decided there wastn enought customer service to warrant saving up for. he gets it done, but for a newb like me, it cant take weeks or months. thats unacceptable in my book.

I was just about to say, I predict this thread becoming a 15 page flamewar.

I haven't said a word on customer service, just merely stating that there are MAM kits out there, and I'm sure we've all been watching azian6er's kit go in, since they started like 10 identical threads.

If you are interested you can try Japtrix in Lake Worth,Fla for a turbo kit. Ask for Roger Case. He can help you design a kit to your specs. His kits run around $3500 up.
