Best Tint Shop In Lake County?

A few shops trees:
Traffic Jamz (Waukegan) (ken told me that they do cheap window tinting)
Exclusive Automotive Center (Fox Lake) (I know the guy there and can give you a good deal)
Raw Image & Performance Customs (Lakemoor, IL.) (never been there but someone gave me their card)
Try using the search button to see more and I am sure the guys from Chicago may know a lot more than me.
I will be getting mine tinted eventually also.

anyhow, my sister and a few of my friends have had work done at traffic jamz, they are reasonably priced and have done good work but like jose said they have that 'shady element' to them

called up the fox lake shop that guy was cool. he said you spec. deal would up the $. (doh) His prices were a bit higher but he did have a few more choices, $275 for the whole car, thanks for the help sandblaster1. Mike B said to say hi. After talking to all these guys i might just get the back tinted though dont want problems with the 5-O (five-0)

Up the $ huh? Man that's rough. No wonder it felt like I was always paying more than what was originally quoted. Yeah the guys over there are pretty cool but are limited on what they can do on certain days. Yeah i am still unsure exactly how much of my car to tint also. Sucks.

i think it was $219 for all my windows @5% tint.
then low and behold i got a damn ticket because i am white, young, and have a hot car , then i had to take it off.
i miss my front 5%!

i've heard a good place is tintworks in mundelein, the guy use to work for whatever company did lakeforest sports cars (ferraris, lambos) he was their main tinter and decided to make his own business and branched off. I've seen some of his work, pretty good stuff. quick question for any of you guys who have been ticketed for your front tints, was that the only reason you were pulled over? and where was the cop when he saw your tint? j/w i am trying to decide with goin 15% all the way around or 40% front and 15% back. thanks

Typically, it is because you were speeding, no front plates, expired tags, and/or a non-moving violation. The tint is usually an "add on" and pretty much will tell you how the cops day has gone. I still am unsure if it is really worth it and is something I want to do to my vehicle.

i paid 220 for 20% all around....but im not in lake country so no one cares
make sure they carry FormulaONE tint. it is the only tint i would trust. Best warranty and they are always best staff'ed
Plus they last longer and look better. I am in the tint business. Its what i do for a living. trust me...there is almost nothing out there that can beat it. HOWEVER.....they will charge more than most places. But trust me its worth it. If you dont need FormulaONE at least get someone using Llumar tints. They are the same company...just FormulaONE is their upper level tints
