best/lowest drop for msp?

i am aware of that but people tell me the suspension is different from the regular protege and the msp's thats why i just can't use protege ES sedan springs, I dunno, i'm new to all this mazda stuff i was a honda guy for 15 years. but i'm gonna go for the eibach springs which will lower the car 1.3 F and R...

I keep hearing that the Sportlines are progessive all round, but they are actually Linear front, and progressive rear.

Front are the outer ones in the pic

Sure looks that way from the pics. Hmmm.

All the conditions described above were duplicated for these measurments.

Sweet. Thanks for the info. In your pics of the struts, it's clear that the body for the Illumina is shorter. Does that add to the total lowering of the vehicle? I'm still a suspension n00b.

Aren't our stock MSP struts made by Tokico? They look a lot alike in the pics.

Yes, the back had 1 finger gap in the rear with the stuck struts and sportlines. Now with the Illumina installed there is no gap, as a matter of fact the rear is slightly tucked.

Will have pics soon.

Yes they are. But I guess they were customized for the MSP. Even the regular tockico Blues are the same size as the Illuminas.

never buy springs or anything like that from a shop. they'll charge you up the ass. whenever i got springs a place around here said they'd lower my car for i think $400. $250 for the springs and 150 for the labor. So i bought the springs myself and did the work with the help of citizenpro. the springs only cost me $150 and the labor was free!

Ima have to start charging you beotch........now come over so we can get your FMIC on.

Does anyone have the Megan Racing springs installed, I heard these were the lowest possible drop....The MSP is pretty high for what I'm used to and I would like to lower it pretty well. If not the Megan Racing Springs, what would be the next best thing???

Thanks

im not sure what the next best thing would be but full coilovers would be a step up

WEll installed my custom Skunk2 coilovers or coil-sleeves whatever you want to call them. Now to buy the Illuminas...

I have a higher spring rate than come with the stock Skunk2's for the Protege. I'm also running 6"springs allthe way around. I have the fronts dropped all the way and the rears are dropped about 1 1/2" - 2" of the full 4" that is available on the sleeve. I have less than a finger between the tires and the fenders... I will be installing my 18" running 215/35/ZR18's soon....

Man, I need to post some pic's...
