It's not a good idea to vent the BOV to the atmosphere on the MS3 motor.
Ditto on VTA. Due to the MAF location, the MS6 at least has been shown to lose a substantial amount of power (and run dangerously lean?) running VTA. Check out the figures on the BOV VTA dyno vs. the same guys' BOV Recirc dyno to see the effect here:
