Bent Rear Control Arm!!!

The Wheel alignment place in town told me my rear tires were wearing badly because of bad struts. So I changed them and worked on it all Sat. morning. only to find out that wasnt the problem. My rear passenger side Control Arm is Bend BAD!!!! Anyone have an idea where i cant get a replacement, besides the dealer? Any help would be great! I don't want some aftermarket/performance thing, I would take a used one. So if i go to the junk yard, are they all the same on proteges?

are you talking about the trailing link, or lateral links? technically there isn't a control arm in the back... any 3rd gen 99+ sedan should be able to donate its parts to you. P5 should work too, but I'm not sure

if its the trailing link (they're known to be weak) then GTSpec makes replacements that are upgraded (I know you said you don't want that, just givin you options)....

thanks a lot man. I know that they do not really have rear control arms, but that's that the dealer caller it. It a long stabilizer like bar that goes from under the center of the car(like under the gas tank) then to the backside of the knuckle.

I saw the "trailing bars" on the internet for sale, but I thought those were something different.

Well, you can always search it through Google or Yahoo. That is where I got my favorite online car parts store. It is really not that hard to find one. Just remember to ask people regarding the feed-backs before purchasing some items

bent front passenger control arm

hey guys i have an 03 MSP and a couple weeks ago someone hit a deer and part of the deer clipped my car damaging my lower control and the strut on the front passenger wheel does anyone know where i can get them for cheap besides the dealer???

go to an autoparts place and ask them to use there national salvage yard search. I have found many things that were "hard" to get but could get them this way. I don't know your location but if you have any Advance Auto parts around, you can use them for this. I found a front control arm for a wrx for $75 one time, the dealer wanted $400. Check em out.
