Ok, so i bent my front right stock wheel the other night in a pothole and now I need to buy new wheels because $750 for one from mazda is never going to happen! Im looking to go with 17x9 rpf1's with 235/45 hanook ventus evo's. Now i've searched everywhere but can't get a definite answer, will I rub with stock suspension? I don't mind doing a fender roll if i have too..Any help would be great, thx!

No need for 17x9 if you are only doing a 235 tire..... 17x8 will be fine

so if i go with a 245 the 17x9 will be needed, will i rub? oh and yea i mean all 4 haha

What kind of car do you have? If you go with 245 then your have to roll the fenders and you may rub. Maybe someone with 245s can chime in but I know I had 235 on my 17x7 and was perfectly fine. Very very lil rubbing.

what dealer quoted that price?......i see 500.35 list on 17's and i sell mazda reconditioned for 179.00 each. i feel bad for alot of you mazda owners i read all these post about dealership problems and i can say we are nothing like that. but on the other hand alot of people on these forums are misinformed.

Just an fyi, I bought an OEM wheel from Finishlinewheels for $207 shipped to replace a bent one. http://www.finishlinewheels.com/MAZDA/MAZDA+3/2009/A-64896U20/

I had the same issue and there was no way I was gonna pay the $600 Mazda wanted.

There are reputable companies that straighten allow wheels. The price is reasonable. Just use Google to search or check with local friends. This is common and does not justify buying a new or even a used wheel.

just so that you know, a stock BMW 335i coupe runs 18x9 rears, and the tires are 255/35ZR18. No need for 9 inch-ers. Theres a good chance you would rub

I'll sell you an OEM wheel - I've got a full set with the same problem in my garage - one rim is slightly bent. I figure I can get rid of the three good ones anyway...
