BEGI TURBO UPDATE

It seems that no one is interested in this turbo from Bellinger (SAN ANTONIO, TX. Not one person replied about my idea. If we can get everyone who is interested (at least 300) to donate $5.00 to Bellinger, then the deposit would be taken care of and a quality TURBO would finally be in the making. REPLY PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

i would donate. i am in san antonio too. I am still considering being the one to donate the test car as well if i can just get my wife to straight out say YES. lol but i will definitely donate if others want to start a fund.

If a company can't suck up the cost to develop something that's gonna make THEM money, then I don't want what they sell.

AGREE!!!

i won't give money to a cie to devellop a product the will make the profit of...this is a joke...like i'm gonna send 5$ to them to see if they can make a turbo. MAKE IT THEN I'LL BUY IT
..

lol..DONATING!!

Sorry you guys don't agree. The donation is not really a "donation", it's a deposit. I am simply willing to help out this guy from San Antonio, since he is willing to give up his MP3. He obviously can't come up with $1200.00 by himself to cover a deposite fee. You spend $5.00 on a ******* cheeseburger for crying out loud!!!!!!! Hey San Antonio man, I will cover these two guys fees. Let's just see who all is willing to help out so we can get this TURBO thing into production.

P.S. The Bellinger guy isn't going to see if he can make one, HE IS going to make one- it's just a deposit required to get things started.(FYI)

I don't get it. You can't sell something as sophisticated as a turbo and expect to make a return on the first units sold!!!!! I don't have no MBA but I can tell you the company will lose money at first but will make it up later! Do you think MHP made money off the first few CAI's it sold? Obviously not. But at that price, I'm sure they'll make their profit soon.

My point is, if they can't secure the funds to research a turbo properly, you should question how professional they really are.

In my opinion.

well, i dont agree with this donation stuff as much as i want the turbo from mr bell, simple because, when i talked to him, he told me he needed 2 things:

1. A car (guinea pig) and we were talking about the mp3 or p5.
2. 3500 deposit, that in a way is no deposit but cost of parts and then we will get to a more detailed bill once the product was build, installed and running.

so hows the deposit going to help mr. bell?

It sounds like this "donation" is to help the "ginea pig" get his turbo. $3500 is alot though...you can get a custom turbo kit for that much.

Now that I think of it, all of you make good points. So Mr Bell said he needed $3500 to start on the kit? I read somewhere on this forum someone saying they got a turbo put on their car (it wasn't an MP3) by some company for free cuz they offered their car as the test car. Now I dont know about free, but you would expect for the owner of the test car to get a considerable discount. Dont you think?? Just something that occured to me. Mr Bell didnt mention any kind of arrangement that would be made for the initial car Raz?

Maybe if all you guys keep busting their balls saying you want a turbo kit eventually they'll realize there is a market for it and choose to design one.

Guys, sorry if the deposit idea was out of line, but I am really dying here for more power! I am just constantly thinking of ways to get a turbo or supercharger in the making for our cars. Maybe someday someone will finally do it and do it right. If I can be of any assistance to anyone (donate my car, hints, ideas, or anything else, keep me posted.

You guys are just too impatient. A turbo will come in time. Stop and think about it for a second. There are only 1500 MP3's. Therefore there will be no turbo unless it is custom. But, there are thousands of P5's out there and they are not going to stop making them b/c they are such big hits with the consumers. The engines are the exact same in each. So give it about a year and a half and I guarrantee there will be a turbo and a supercharger, just be patient. Anything made for the P5 is going to fit our cars. I'm not putting anyone down, but just be a little bit more patient. Save your money and by the time one comes out, you can slap down all cash for it instead of credit card. If they keep building P5's, the aftermarket will come. Trust me. ;)

I agree with Ben, look how many protege5 is down the street now. As the protg market is growing, there will be more demand of aftermarket parts. And people will make it.

Pay a company to develop a profitable product, it just doesn’t sounds right to me.

Calm down guys and gals. I don' agree with the whole having to pay for a turbo when your car is the guinea pig thing. Have no fear though, if what I've heard is true, GReddy is in midst of developing a turbo as we speak. It should hit the market sometime during the first half of next year. $3500 is a bit much for a custom turbo. I've got a friend who got a turbo for his MP3 for $1500.

well... i do know 3500 is a lot, and he told me: "The turbo would be somewhere around 3500 to 4000 for the bolt on system" then, power hungry me asked about 10 psi and installation, so he said that would be more expensive...
anyway, as i was saying before, its all about getting the best parts for our cars, and im guessing thats no custom job, once he does one, we would see it for sale from their site. He said he needed either a p5 or an mp3 for 3 to 4 weeks.... and 3500 (the cost of the system) in my case he was going to change the fuel injectors and other stuff in order to get to 10psi :D and installation.
well, actually i believe i can work out installation with him in case is the guinea pig.

In short, im sure we can get something cheaper, but will it be as good as this one can be?
also, for the person who mentioned greddy, they already said no for our cars.
