As most of you know; "Brew Line" is back on the air. This is the radio show, I co-host here in the Memphis area. It is on AM790 WMC radio Monday evenings 7:00-8:00 pm.

If you are of drinking age, and enjoy beer; it would be great if you would like to contribute to the show.

Tell me Greg; "How can I contribute"? You can send us a couple of bottles of beer that are unique to your area. Or; you can PM me with what is available in your area, and I can let you know if I get get that brand here. Obviously; I will mention you on the air, and where you live. It will be a lot of fun. Mazda owners who love good beers. How cool!

Obviously we cannot get every beer brewed in the U.S. here in the Memphis area.

We taste beers on the show, and discuss them. Oftentimes; I line up interviews with different breweries, and they too; send us beers.

Let me know. This can be a big time for everyone.

Oh. One other thing. I usually get Scott; our engineer, to tape all the shows. So; if you contribute; I will do everything in my power to return to you a recorded tape of the show where we drink the beer that you send in. (thumb)

Moderators - please post as sticky. For the good of the American Beer Drinking Public. (drinks)

Hey have you ever had Laughing Skull? That's a local restaurant's brew here in Atlanta.

If they would bottle you a couple of bottles; would you send us some for the show?

Have their Brewmaster contact me @ gkh@midsouth.rr.com, and we can interview him live if he wants.

Yuengling...I'm sure you've heard of it. I personally can't drink it, but I know people who have it shipped all over the country.

Blackened Voodo and Sierra Nevada are my two personal favorites, though not very localized.

Yuengling is America's oldest brewery. If you would like to send us some to try on the show; that would be great. PM me!

Blackened Voodoo is brewed by Dixie Brewing, and is quite popular in Louisiana.

Sierra Nevada is one the best - Plain & Simple! I have had them on our show 4 times in the past. Steve Dresler is their brewmaster, and he brews some incredible beers! Most of their beers are available here.

Giddy Up!! I get most all of the Unibroue beers here! Believe it or not; and they are wonderful.

Tres Pistoles - will knock your dick in the dirt!! (for example)

I'm not big on Micro-brews or dark ale....not looking to put hair on my chest right now. lol I'm a mixed drink person. Get tipsy that way quicker. Bacardi....ummmm.....:D

What a great angle for free beer:D

Oh, and by the way, I host a radio program on the local college station about car stuff specifically for the Protege....and we try them live on the air. Soo, if you have any parts that you can ship out here, we'd be happy to try them out.

j/k greg

I think it's great that you do this, and I'll try to keep an eye out for something that might be very local to here....I assume your open to just about any kind of beer, but do you have a personal preference (i.e. dark, thick, ale, etc...).

That's very cool! A radio show about cars! Cool! (cool)
As far as beers; we drink everything. Mike and I both enjoy the bigger beers (some dark - some lighter), but there is always room for new ones. We even have shows where will try the beers that are less than $4.00 a six pack. We call them the Summertime beers - the one's you mostly enjoy after (or while) working the back yard. Absolutely!

Trying new beers is the best thing to do on a slow boring weekend. Girlfriend showed me a pub in Richmond that has beers from around the world. :D
There was one a Double Fudge Coco Malt beer. OMG!! So unbelievable tasty. They actually mix in chocolate bars with the brew near the finishing stages.
Smooth, not overally Chocolately but a great after dinner beer to go with.

Can't wait to go back and just start going down the menu (150+ beers) and start sampling.

RE: Sounds like you are referring to Young's Double Chocolate Stout from England. It's something else. Goes really well with a Godiva Truffle.

That may have been it, amazing stuff. It sounds gross when you are reading it, look at it, but is easy on the pallet and leaves a nice after taste if any at all.

Here's another one from the "Brooklyn Brewery". And; I will tell you it is amazing. (8.5% alcohol by volume)

Do you guys get Moosehead and Sleeman down there? Another good one is Creemore springs....mmmmmmm :D

My personal favorite here is from the restaurant "Lagers"

It's a pilsner called "John Courage Stout" from Great Britain.
It's so damned good. :-)

I'll see if they have any bottles if I go this weekend. Your show sounds awesome!

By the way, the best summertime beer for under $4.00 a 6-pack, would definitely be Pabst Blue Ribbon. Hell, in college we bought the stuff for $2.59 a six pack in the can. PBR is good stuff!
