Be careful out there...

My sister was involved in a very bad accident on August 24th. Traveling a 2-lane road on her way home, someone coming from the other direction lost control of his car and basically broadsided my sister, eventually rolling her over onto her roof.

Hopefully the police are checking the idiot's phone records....I think he may have been texting, was traveling at a high rate of speed and lost it when he jammed the brakes in response to slow traffic ahead of him. He was in an old Nissan Sentra so I doubt it had ABS or TC of any kind.

My sister is still having a hard time walking. Severe tissue and bone bruising in her hip, and lots of surface bruising on her chest from hanging upside down in her seatbelt.

Don't text while driving guys....it's not worth it. My sister could've easily been killed. The cops estimate he was traveling around 60mph at the time of impact. Her left rear wheel and suspension was found in someone's front yard. If she's not any better in 10 more days, it's MRI time to look for damage the XRays aren't seeing.

I hope you two are fully recovered soon. This looks like a nightmare, although I guess it could have been worse. I hope you're both well-compensated for your loss, pain, and inconvenience.

oh wow, best wishes for a full recovery! im glad to hear there were no fatalities...
honestly, id sue that guy for all he's worth if he WAS texting. find out for sure.

Sorry to hear that BC, I hope your sister gets through it with nothing too serious in the long term. You're right with that message though, texting really is bad news on the road.

Flew to Atl a few weeks ago to check on my sister. Still not walking very well....she basically walks like the wreck added 40 years to her age. The pain is ever-present, some days better than others.

I guess there are two bright spots to come of this whole mess - 1) my sister is alive to tell about it, and 2) Pics attached

Ooo nice car upgrade! big up from the sentra.

srry to hear she is still in pain, hopefully she has a good doctor and/or chiopractor that can help in the long run.

sorry to hear that, hope your sis gets better. looks like acuar(honda) finally did something right. they may not make fast cars but they sure are safe. last year i bought a 07 ms3, had it one month, one payment. when one day got the windows tinted and leaving the tint shop a old lady(80s) and her husband decided to pull out right in front of me looking the other way. never hit the brackes, going between 50 -55mph when i t-boned her. i walked away without a scrach. she on the other hand broke her hip and leg. she was not wearing her glasses.
