BC Coilovers

ok so im new to this whole suspension thing and i really want the BC's. i was wondering how to adjust ride height,dampening whatever. please explain to me in very fine detail about this stuff. also would i need to get rear camber arms?
i searched around but i really need more detail. thanks guys

To adjust the height, the spring sits on a sleeve that is threaded onto a threaded shock body and you just go up or down with it. These pics are off my miatas coilovers but should help out.

To adjust the dampening, there should be a knob on the top of the shockbody and you'll turn it clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the stiffness.

For the best balance, go to a shop or person you know and get the car corner weighted. This involves digital scales you roll the car onto.

Stupid question, but how do you know you have set the height the same on both sides?

Easy..measure the center of wheel to top of wheel well. Stock measurements are 14.75'' front 14.25'' rear. I just check BTW.

No. BC Racing is a manufacturer of several companies coilover systems, after producing for quite some time they decided they would cut out the middle man and produce and market their own coilovers.

On a Speed3 with 235/40/18 tires on RX8 wheels, would BC coilovers cause rubbing without rolling the fenders?

Also, what is the min/max height adjustment for these?

you can get as high or higher than stock and you can slam the front down till the tires are tucked and the rear can be lowered down until the tire is flush with the wheelwell

And does the car need an alignment after installing new coilovers?

adjust hieght takes no time.. take of wheels un srew something for 5 min tighten wheels back on..

What place do you guys recommend for alignments? I hate letting anyone touch my car.
