BC Coilover questions

For those of you running the BC coilovers..... I know they come with adjustable camber plates for the front. How adjustable are they? I hear you have to cut into the chassis to obtain maximum negative camber? Any other opinions you could give me about the BC coilovers would be great.

You have to widen the hole to get to the adjustment screws while they're on the car. You could install, eyeball it, uninstall, adjust, reinstall until you get it right....but for that amount of work, just widen the hole.

other notes...I installed the BC's on a non-speed3 with factory wheels/tires

front - the tab for upper end of the endlink is attached more towards the center of the strut, putting the bracket with the ABS wire REALLY close to the rim. Aftermarket rims with different widths/offsets could be affected by this. I put the bracket on the other side of the tab for more clearance/peace of mind. I'm in the 0-1 degree negative range with a 1 finger gap and the camber adjusted fully towards zero degrees. You should be able to get pretty wacky with the negative camber up front.

rear - I had to remove one of the height adjustment rings to drop the rear to match the front.

Overall, I'm happy with them.

To access the camber plates, you will have to take a 3" holesaw and cut the opening bigger to adjust them easily. But if you don't, you can always just take out the coilovers and adjust.

In this picture, I believe it's -2.5....

This was a local member I know when he had an MS3 with BC coilovers. If anything, the max camber on the BC's are -3 to -3.5 at most.

I don't think I'll have to worry about clearance with 18 inch rims. My Coilovers got here the other day. Just waiting for the rear camber links to arrive to begin my install.

I did not use the holesaw when my BC's were installed. I used BC's recommended settings and the car aligned perfectly.

Where did you get recommended settings? All I got out of the installation manual was "screw and nut regularly".
