got my eyelids the other day... but i know it would look insane with the chrome in the inside of my headlights blacked out? just wondering anyones storys out there what i should or shouldnt do. i have a gt so of course i have the hids not sure if i have to do any thing extra or if i can even do it.. im planning on useing a heat gun so i dont f up my lights..

i blacked out the insides of mine too and just make sure that u seal them back up well bc i had to re do it like 3 times to one of the lights bc water and moisture kept getting in.. so be careful. also dont heat the hid ballast box thingy too much..

what sealer did you use? did you try diff types? how was the bumper removal? i hear you have to be extra careful on hidden hooks?

Bumper removal is pretty easy - check krystm's Web site for the tutorial. Baking the headlights isn't too difficult either. The ballast comes off by undoing three screws IIRC. I've done it about 3 or 4 times now. Another member sent me his headlight sealer from Japan that has worked really well - it's the same gray sealant that's used from the factory. No leaks or condensation problems.

Check the links below for bumper and headlight removal and baking. Have fun and take your time :)

thanks man im going to do this if i get off work early tom... this look so easy compared to install on my test pipe... note: my welded bolt to the downpipe broke off thats how rusted the screws were pb blasted and every thing

I realize may mods get carried out in the pursuit of individuality, but blacking out the inside of the headlights can only reduce the efficiency and output of the lights. This seems counter productive.

I suspect the OP is talking about blacking out the chrome ring around the actual light, rather than the reflector. At least, I hope so.

no its a weekend car so im blacking out the chrome wells too would be pointless to open the lights for just the chrome ring... got my eyelids painted and my chrome amber turn signal bulbs.. will finish this weekend and will post picks!

i basically used these guides too lol
i used the grey silicone stuff.. found it at autozone... its the same stuff that mazda uses on the headlights.

Just paint the inside with the tint spary throw them in a 500 degree oven for 3 hours and your good to go.

Oh and dont forget to stop at pep boys and get a rad hood scoop for the roof.
