Badges Question

hopfully i dont get flamed for this but, how do u guys make those batman badges, just sand them down, then paint them? then stick them back on? and what do u use to restick them back on???

but seriously, I honestly don't know as I haven't done it. There are tidbits of all the information you need on the first page of this forum so you may need to just take a bit from each.
