Bad noise from front end???

I was wondering if any1 had the same problem im having...when i take off from a stop with the wheel cut to the left or right, i get a really bad grinding/clicking noise from the trans or axels...it sounds like a bad cv joint, but it only does it at take off and not at higher speeds. Any1 have any input??

Wheel hop. Its your wheels bouncing off the ground. It will not start until about 4k rpms, while spinning the wheels.

It doesnt happen if i take off hard, just while taking off at a normal speed

i agree that it's most likley your cv's. have you gotten under it and looked at it? could be as simple as a torn boot and no grease.

I think ill check them out, i just didnt expect that to happen..i only had the car for 3 months!! If it were the cv's, wouldnt they click at any speed??

how sharply are you turning the weel? the cv allows the hub of the weel to move up and down without the engine moving too. so if your weels are turned all the way one way the body of the car rolls allot more that when just driving down the road.

Or mabye a problem with the LSD. You don't turn as sharply at higher speeds so maybe it's only happening when there's big difference between wheel speeds.
