Bad Mazda Dealerships

Hi,

I am a producer on a newsmagazine show call Toronto Tonight on Toronto 1, a CNN affiliate.

We're working on a story where Mazda, especially dealers, is over-charging customers for unnecessary fixes during regular check-ups.

We'd love to chat with you about your experience. Can you give me a call or an email?

* This is Antoine...I'm merging all the threads into one Ontario thread.

Wouldn't be a problem. But right now I need to find Toronto area Mazda owners to help me test these "bad" dealerships. We'll pay for the inspections, but the trick is we need to get this element of the story done this week or early next week.

The second thing is to hear owners who've had bad experiences.

Sorry to hear about this problem being particularly bad in the Toronto area. I've always been of the opinion that ALL dealerships charge way to much for services. Neccesity has made me learn how to work on my own car, which is likely the case with most people on this board. If I hear any horror stories, I'll be sure to send them your way.

^^ you might want to add to your story a bit about Dave Wood Mazda.

I have my horror stories with Carling Motors in Ottawa, but that's Ottawa

They've been nothing but kind to the aftermarket Protege clubs :)

never been overcharged, but thats probably because i refuse to go back to my crappy ass dealer. those guys are such asshats. its a good thing mazdas sell themselves, otherwise theyd be broke.

if u want at all i have a couple of wonderful stories for you about a certain oklahoma city dealership

Kramer Mazda in Calgary rips you off $42 for an oil change and they don't bother washing your car. Car is usually not ready when promised. They don't bother calling you when it is finally ready. Love the car but hate the dealership service and warranty is almost worthless.

Getting things fixed under warranty is almost impossible. My experience with that dealership is NOT good!

Jessie, when it's finalized, please post on here the date and time it will air. Being in Toronto I'm definitely very interested in seeing this one (I've been fortunate in that I have a good dealership for my Mazda3).

If you were saying Florida too, i would have so many good stories! COUGH COUGH* Lou Bachrodt" Cough Cough*

replacing my muffler bearnings?, toping off fluids?
anyways customer has to sign the repair order for the work being done, its not like the dealership is replacing stuff or repairing on free will! if you worked at a dealership you would also try to upsell stuff.

Bad Dealerships

First of all, sorry for the multiple threads. I'll try to limit the reponse to just one thread in "Protege5"

Right now I need to find Toronto area Mazda owners (newer Mazdas, preferrably those who are leasing, but it doesn't really matter) to help me test these "bad" dealerships. We'll pay for the inspections, but the trick is we need to get this element of the story done this week or early next week.

Plus I still need Toronto horror stories. So let me know. Thank you everybody for your help.

Hey, can you do some of us a favor, and delete the 4 other threads you have on this subject, then.

I'm gonna start a thread on investigation of people who place multiple threads all over the forums. j/k.

edit: Hey, care on doing a story about screwed up Department of Motor Vehicle policies in the state of Texas??? Just thought I'd ask.........
