well i thought when i woke up this morning it would be a good day but i guess it was not that way at all. When i got to class this morning i noticed when i got out and shut my door that my drivers side is scratched to hell. Not just the drivers side door but the entire drivers side of my car. front to back is scratch like some little piece of &^*@ kid thought it would be *$&@$%# funny to see what a key+car would equal. I just wanted to share with you guys and also ask for any advice about what to do about it. Its not down to the metal (THANK GOD) but I can see the white underneath. i have this little fingernail polish car paint thingy. its for scratches and what not. I talked to my friend about it and he said that there should be a way to buff it out but i dont know. Please any advice would help me out here.

(man would i love to find one of the people doing it in the act, wouldnt have to be my car, could be a little pinto for all i care, i would do things that would make me a not nice person)

the touch up paint you get from mazda is like for tiny needle point spots, not for this. You might want to take it to an autobody shop...

that sucks man.... get some tuoch up paint from the dealer itsl ike 10 bucks. Carefully apply it let it dry and then buff it out with some good wax compuound. That should get rid of most of it..

From what I've seen done before is touch up paint, wet sand, compound and polished/waxed.

Start with Meguiar's ScratchX. It is made for this kind of scenario. Worst thing that happens is it doesn't fix the problem. Start small.

unless you are a paint pro and im guessing you arent judging by your question, get it professionally fixed. the paint is very very thin on these cars and very easy to wet sand/buff right through.

hey man sad to hear about the damage. However if you post up some good pics I can let you know if buffing is possible it will be cheaper....a lot cheaper than haveing to get it repainted. Plus some people will catch the paint job if you try to resell and will lowball you.
