2014 Mazda3 Sport GS
I used to be a member of this forum when I had a 2002 Protege5, but I traded it in for a 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek. The Subaru was a great car, but between gas and monthly payments it was just too expensive. So here I am back to another Mazda awaiting my Soul Red 2014 Mazda3 Sport GS Manual to arrive at the dealership...

Congrats! Not only is the Mazda3 Sport much better looking than the Subie XV Crosstrek (those wheels on the XV definitely stand out, but not it the good way), but the GS Sport 6MT is also substantially quicker! Did your XV Crosstrek have the 5-speed manual or CVT? With the 5MT, the best 0-60 time I've seen is 8.9 seconds. With the CVT, it's a solid 10.0 seconds and the engine droning makes it seem even longer. I recently had a 2013 Impreza as a rental car and I was surprised by how much I actually liked the interior design and quality, handling, good steering and it was just a very good car overall....until you try to accelerate quickly to merge or pass and that freakin' CVT and 2.0 (2-point-slow?) increase velocity at a pace best described as glacial! The Mazda3 is always ready to go and power is just shift away...you made a great choice and I'm sure you'll be very happy! When will your Mazda3 be arriving?

Picked it up Monday, it is definitely quicker than my crosstrek, but compared to my old protege the crosstrek felt quick. I am looking forward to the better gas mileage on my new 3.
