AWR Mount for DD?

Wow ~ that's crazy -- mine's not that rough at all. I feel a bit more vibration at startup, but nothing quite so rattle -y.

Yeah, the vibrations didn't bother me, it was just the mirrors moving a full 1/4 inch and the interior rattling away that made me get rid of it. The shifting and clutch improvement was so good though.

xyrth- what was the dry time on that stuff you used? I'd like to use poly but will only have 48 hours to let it dry.

I had 80duro on the Speed3, the vibes were ok, shift feel was the best part of the mod.
70 should be good enough with the 2's torque level, if the car is tracked all the time get the stiff one. At $76, you can always get a 70 and a 95 lol

Maybe I should make a vid of all the vibrations that come with a 95a haha

I gave it 48 hours, it wasn't enough. Wrapped it in Gorilla Tape, which helped contain it, but still not as solid as I want. It was also in the 30's the two days I had it dry, and didn't want it in the house.

I've pulled it apart and plan to give it another shot this weekend, or maybe get a loaner.

Bummer. I went ahead and got the 3M window weld to try when I have time. Just need to figure out what I can do to give it the best chances of curing in 48 hrs. I'm thinking a little bit of heat and moisture should help. Maybe a sealed container with some water and a heater fan aimed at it.

I don't think moisture is going to help it cure any faster, I would stick with a light dry heat if you are unable to let it set up on its own.

Toaster oven at 100-200 degrees for 12-24 hours (2thumbs)

Just installed my 70 duro dogbone bought from cross over. I love this thing. And I do not feel the vibrations are bad at all. I should have went with the next one up.

I installed mine on Sunday, I love it. The exhaust is louder now? It's stock but it's definitely louder, could I have installed it a little off making an exhaust leak?

Did you notice the increase in noise inside the car, or out? Inside, it's probably the exhaust and the vibrations, making it seem like it's louder than it is.

nice to see other platforms using AWR products. They definitely help out with drivetrain lash and shifting..lol. Vibes are very noticeable, Im running 88duro mounts on all four sides on my protege. Have had them for a few years now. Some may call me crazy, but I kind of wish I went with the 95duro..lol

Then I guess I'm crazy then :$
lol, nah not crazy. I say that because a majority of the protege guys use 70, 88, a combination of the two or even mixed with other brands. I only recall one protege with 95duro mounts and the vibes were teeth rattling..lol. You could see the dash rattling a little bit. But I actually woudn't mind it. If it kept the drivetrain lash to almost none, I would be happy. Im building my car for track use, not comfort.

Now, my car isn't being built for track use (that's not the focus for it), but I'm still all about performance, and getting the best out of my car. Although the only aftermarket mount us 2 owners can buy right now is the lower dogbone, I made sure to get the 95a. Same went for my Integra that I had before, as well as my SVT Contour that I had.

nice. By the way, I like the way your 2 is setup in your sig pic. I went to a Mazda event here in TX at a Mazda sponsored track here and Corksport actually came down to help host the event and their 2 ran the track and I was really impressed with the way it performed on the track.

Thanks man! Yeah man, the 2 is a great handling car.. now if only it had around 40 more hp -_- aha.
