AWR Header Fitment Issues

What are the fitment issues with the AWR Header on auto's, i need to know the details.

It gets to close to the radiator fans...But you could get slimer fans

You could be a man and get a real tranny.lol JK dude! Slim fans aren't very expensive if my memory serves me correctly. Buy the header and just sell it to me at an extreamly discounted price.

I have installed a transmission but I haven't done the conversion. Might not be that bad. The auto tranny has to be heavier. The manual one is around 75lbs or so.

Depends on the fans.
First pic is my 02 P5 manual trans, I had to remove the fan. Second pic is a customers' 01 Protege ATX and the fit was close but OK.

thanks i appreciate it, tony at awr must not know then... you gotta keep that man updated on information. i also pmed you about motormounts and the exhaust but you never answered me. If i was to get the front and the side inserts i should be fine.

I think there was also an issue with the AWR hitting the oil pan on autos. Each one of these headers seems to be slightly different, so it will be hard to tell if you are going to have problems until you try it.

No fitment issues here buddy.......i had the AWR on my auto P5 back in da day. You may have a b**** of a time putting it in position, but once its in......you should have no problems it hitting anything.

see i couldnt remember if your s*** was auto or not charles. but i knew you had the header. Did you also have those cams installed on there from equi.

Infexion, I'd hate to say this but the header cracked on Friday..
I think the extra heat (from the heat wrap) combined with the engine rocking so much without a real flex pipe is what caused the mess.
You should be fine with AWR motor mounts.

I'll let you know whenever I have the header welded back together if you're still interested.
