AWR End Link trouble

I feel like a complete moron. I tried to install my AWR endlinks with a 19mm SR Motorsports rear sway bar. I ended up bending the AWR eyebolts.

I ran stock endlinks with the 19mm bar since 2004. They recently seperated so I ordered the AWR end links.

I installed the endlinks and tightened them down. I used a jack to lift up the rear suspension and then lowered it. I simulated full wheel travel then noticed that the end bolts were bent.

Any suggestions?

Damn....that sux...but it looks like you might be able to get replacements from a good HW store or AWR themselves..

You have the swaybar upside down , where the links attach to the bar should be pointed up not down ,this will allow the links to fit correctly

Its been that way since 2004 with the stock endlinks. I have already pulled off the sway bar now to try it the other way. If I remember correctly I put it on that way because it was binding the suspension and wouldn't let the car come all the way down. The car was resting on the sway bar the other way.

You wouldn't happen to have any pictures of how it really should go together?

Well I did get it back together but it rubs on the suspension. I will need to order new eyebolts that are $40. Grrrr. Anyway it will work until I get new eyebolts. I may end up getting an AWR rear sway bar so it all matches up.

Now I need to clean up all that WD-40 overspray from under the car

I bought used ones that were bent a lot worse than that. Frustrating isn't it? I have been driving with the bent ones in the front for a while and have had no problems.

Good luck man.

Thanks.

I'll see how it drives for now.
