average MPG gauge issues

when i first bought my cx5 the average mpg numbers fluctuated and now its stuck at 30mpg. only have 6200 miles on the motor and the mpg gauge as been stuck on 30mpg for a few weeks now. Sounds like its supposed to be stuck on an average mpg number but i came across a vid on youtube of someone with more miles on their cx5 and the numbers still fluctuated while driving

It shouldn't be stuck literally on a single number - 30.0 - unless you really only drive with a narrow band of MPG around 30. Try resetting it and see what happens. When displaying the average MPG, press and hold directly in the middle of the up/down display mode selector button on the steering wheel.

If that mpg average is over a huge amount of miles im not surprised its not moving. You can clear it and let it average back out over a few tanks of gas, or switch to the current mpg view.
