I received an email from them this morning. I know a lot of people really liked these units for their Ipod. I'm installing my GROM kit tomorrow, and if I'm not a fan I'll be picking up one of these AuxMod's.

It's between this or the Axxess interface for me. I like this because I can run my Pre as well, and use Pandora on the radio as well if I want to. Plus the cost is much cheaper than the Axxess kit.

So, does anyone know when the advanced unit will be out? If I went this route I would prefer the advanced.
Also, am I correct that you could have this plugged in to the media input and simultaneously have something like the grom ipod adapter plugged into the cd input. Then youd be able to change between say an ipod and a pre by just selecting different inputs on the headunit.

I don't know either, but I'd prefer the advanced unit if it was available. I'd also recommend if you're going to do this (the basic), that you get a line level input, a la the iPod to 3.5mm jack (or whatever connection you have). You will get better sound and have volume control on the HU, instead of having to make two adjustments.

The Auxmod advanced is allmost Vaporware at this point... Its been promised for close to 3 years now with no actual availability announced... That being said the Auxmod basic is pretty good. Ive had it on the MZ3 hatch and now on my VRMS6.... It plugs into the input on the bottom of the radio for your Cass Player(They still make those??)/media input slot....
