aussie shifter combo GB

and we all thought this GB was going so smoothly. let's hope that the next batch doesn't require andrew to pay more or else our extra payments (only round 20$ more now) will increase (to maybe 40$).

andrew: any chance of getting that 223.75$ back at all? just asking.

i didnt bother argueing with the customs ppl. afterall it's like talking to a brick wall so i just paid it and grumbled.

fingers crossed the next lot wont have any customs....i still cant beleive i had to pay duties!!! i imported $800usd worth of stuff a while ago when the dollar was 50us cents and i didnt have to pay a cent!!!! maybe they just random check these things and we were unlucky this time ????

LOL good to see a typically Aussie sense of humor :D

So Andy just let me know how much when you work it all out (s*** happens).
I have got lots of s*** from the states for my Downhill MTB and when it has come USPS i never have paid ed duty but when i have had it sent by UPS or DHL its all ways been pot luck $2000 front forks no duty $1000 set of night lights got hit hard with duty luck of the draw.

(rockon)

yeah that's pretty much it...you win some, you loose some.

does anyone know if ptuning have to put an invoice in the box to ship it here? ahb11m suggested that they dont put an invoice in and that'll be a good way to avoid further duties. ptuning have come back to me and said that there is a possibility that the shifters would be returned to them if there is no invoice included.

any ideas ppl?

I have had bike parts shipped with no invoice no probs and some bike shops in the states used to lower the price on the invoice for me.

yeah i was thinking about doing a dodgy invoice, but if they get lost in transit insurance wont cover it all...

i'll ask them to send the next lot with the invoice separate or via email. fingers crossed this time :D

yup commercial sample, no merchant value.... thats the tick box we usually use

otherwise we do the gift box, which it was.... its a birthday present!!! (if sent before tuesday anyway!!)

i'm not sure how commercial sample would go...esp considering i dont have an abn etc.

we'll see how just no invoice goes and take it from there....

Has the second batch been despatched? I got the impression that they were going the day after the first ones??

they were going to be sent a couple of days after the first lot, but i've asked them to not include an invoice with the package so i guess it takes a few days for them to remove it LOL

should be sent today or tomorrow

I'll keep my fingers crossed. But for some reason I feel like good old murphy is keeping an eye over our shoulders ..

damn murphy....
well i'm going to the docs now, i feel ok, but gotta get some test results.... ...damn murphy

sorry guys, forgot to make a note of it.

the 2nd shipment left america at 2:33pm on 19 feb. should have them this week, then i'll we'll all know exactly what's what

skid pan was well wicked, made for some good shifing action there!!!

doing 180 then r-1 change in seconds... its way harder to do the 1-R cahnge down.....
