Aussie GP this weekend.

After a few months wait, the formula 1 season begins this saturday evening, live from australia.

Any other f1 enthusiasts out there?

heck yeah!!! i still haven't decided which i like better F1 or wrc...probably still a bigger wrc fan though...

my sister and her new husband almost went to australia for their honeymoon this week since it happened to line up with the gp...unfortunately stupid world affairs right now cancelled those plans...

I hit the canadian grand prix last year, and I can honestly say that it was the best trip I've ever taken. I would of been satisfied with seeing only Montreal, as it is an amazing city.

One last note. The engine noise that you hear on TV does NO justice to the actual sound/feel of an F1 car ripping by at 180mph.
It is the loudest sound I've ever heard/felt. Music to my ears

WRC is soo much better than F1.
Too bad Speed Channel has completely screwed up their coverage this year.

I agree re: speed's WRC coverage.
Boo

I'm interested to see how the new rules are going to affect F1.

I'll give a third :bs: to the WRC coverage! Even if it WAS Ralph Sheheen (and still is.....:( ) the same day coverage was the thing....

Have you ever been at a drag strip with top fuel dragsters? I'd be interested in knowing if the F1 sound is as impressive as the dragsters. As the drag cars go by, you can feel your entire body vibrating in tune with the noise. It is something wild!

Not to mention the 6ft flames coming out the back...lol...even from the parking lot it sounds like you're approaching an aircraft carrier (use your imagination) when the jets are taking off!

Once I heard a racing sounds cd...one track was...if I recall correctly...a V10 F1 Peugeot engine during dyno testing...I still remember thinking IS THIS BEAST EVER GOING TO STOP!?!?!?! I felt my ears were going to explode before the dyno run was over. Don't those babies rev up to 18k...19k...even 20k+ rpm?

i still want to go to italy to see the ferrari factory and test track...a coworker that has a ferrari got to take a tour of the factory(owners exclusive thing i guess)...he was telling me about how they fire up the F1 cars at like 7am...you can hear the engines throughout the town...oh to be somewhere with F1...
