Im in need of some body and paint job, paint is for some of my mp3 areas due to keying, and the body its for a project miata that i bought not so long ago, im planning on getting a body kit for it and repaint it.

I went to "New Image" on arlington, but i would like to get to see more shops, get more quotes, but making sure they will do a good job, specially on the body kit work.

Thx for any help

Hey Razheal,

I just got hit in the front by some lady and I am having my friend Adam do all the work on mine. He owns his own shop off of hwy67 and I-20.

Reply if you are interested.

im very interested jag, most of the job its basically for the miata, a whole repaint and bodykit install with some body work (dents, hail) Just let me know where exactly is he located and i can pay him a visit.

Razhael, if Jag cant help you, first I would not take it to New Image, quicky jobs:rolleyes: . My best experiences with color matching-believe it or not- has been with Service King. That is all they do. For the Miata one of the best places I have seen is Clark Brothers in Pantego, on Hwy 303, next to The Drop Zone.
JMO

Clark brothers will charge you $10,000. They are the most expensive place. They are good, but very very expenxive. Plus Adam has their old painter. He is the one rolling around with the Black Expo that is black with cameleon ghost flames. With 23's.

jag, ill go for adam but i will appreciate an address so i can go there and get somewhat of an estimate for the miata.

I am going to call him today, i'll get the address and the best time for you to go there.

I'm Next in line. I have a key scratch all the way from the front sidemarker all the way back to the gas tank on the driver's side.

Polk speakers + Fosgate amps

Hee hee, to get back to the topic. It's pretty popular to get POLK speakers as they are good quality and fairly inexpensive. Component speakers are cool if you want top notch performance and money isn't a factor for you.

I personally like the Fosgate brand for AMPs. They're relatively easy to find at stores (easier to deal with warranty service if locally purchased) and they have a broad price range from the professionals down to the newbies. Oh, I'm not an audio techie guru so I'd have to fork out the money for someone to do the job right.

My parents use pretty expensive Infinity speakers in their Volvos and they sound pretty awesome.

I'd be happy with some above average POLKs. Fosgate 4-channel AMP. I'm not a mega bass thumper, so I'm not really into the multiple subwoofers installation scene. I prefer high-end speakers with just the subwoofer that came with my MP3... Good low thumping noise, but not ear-shattering. :)

thx for the suggestions allen, im in the same wagon you are, im not much of a mega bass thumper, im more than happy with the mp3 stock system, besides, i doubt theres much room for bass in a miata! :D

I was reading the other day in crutchfield, trying to understand what was better, 2 way, 3 way, or component... i guess component is better then, but whats the difference? any different installation too?

Components are way better because they come with thier own crossover and the tweeter is seperated from the mid driver. This is very effective because in the normal case where you have a two or three way, you have all of the speakers trying to play all of the frequencies. this is bad and causes distortion. Seperates (Component) speakers are the way to go. They are a whole lot more complicated to install though. You have to find a place to mount the crossover, find a place to mount the tweeters, cut a hole in the door, mount the tweeters, and you have to build a bracket to hold the 6.5 in mid. Not for a newbie to try!!! Also placement can make or break the system.

any idea of where can i get some component installed around here jag? and of course im not even going to try to do that, i hardly know some basics about the receiver installation... also whats a good set of components?

If you are going the cheaper route, you cant beat a set of Fosgate 6.5 inch components. But the best no doubt would be a set of MB Quarts.

well, i want to get a good setup, not so cheap, not so expensive, some subwoofer speakers and an amplifier, just dont really sure were to get the stuff and specially where to have it installed

I like Diamond Audio speakers and amplifiers. They have entry level speakers M3, M6 and the high-end Hex series with a honeycomb woofer. Diamond has the entry level D5 amplifier and the high-end D7 amps (Esoteric). They have the M3, M6 woofers and the Mac Daddy ;) hint. Check them out www.diamondaudio.com
