Friday I got there early enough to do some test-n-tune runs to try out the bullet cam from our Spec Miata and see how the car would react to the surface.
Atlanta Motor Speedway. I got 2nd in class to a National Solstice, and I was really pleased with my (and the car's) performance on both days....mostly. I was .25 off of first after day one, and I should have been closer, if not leading, had I shifted into third after the first sweeper. Day 2 I was fighting wheelspin everywhere, couldn't get it to hook up, and probably favored the Solstice, and ended up down 6 tenths.
I was really pleased with the way the car felt. Got the shock settings working well, and the car felt planted, but I could get it to rotate when I needed it. The Hankooks worked MUCH better at this event as I was able to get a little more heat in them this time. I am definitely getting a tire-warmer for the next event. And since there were only 4 starters in class the contigency $ wasn't quite as good, but $100 is still awesome!
On to the vids!
One of the TNT runs.

Helmet cam for fun on one of the TNT runs, and I think it is safe to say I was looking ahead ...note Lehman's comment at the end of the video.

Fastest run on Saturday. I was on the rev limiter after the first big left-hand sweeper, after the slalom, right at the first cone....shoulda-woulda-coulda shifted into 3rd.
