AT to MT??

hey i have an mt, but my friend he bought and at and now he wants to change it to a mt do you guys have any idea on how to do this maybe where, i heard is possible, but maybe you guys know a lil more than me.

2> trade in AT car for MT car

i dont think so cause he allready has a year with the car anyways he just wants to change the transmission not the car.

its cheaper and easier.

but if thats not important... swaps are always possible. going to need the tranny, the ECU, the shift linkage, the clutch assemby... etc + a buttload of work. dont even think about asking a shop to do it unless you want to burn just as much on parts as you do on labor, if not more.

wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to buy a new car?
i'm sure it's possible but damn, what a waste of money and humbug.

You would also need a new gauge cluster, I believe.

well i'll tell my friend that is expensive, well i'll have yo call a mec to know all the parts exactly

its really not worth it. i looked into it for my focus. it would have cost me the price of the car to do it.
