Ok guys, another of my all in one threads.

Here are some of my questions about the MSP stock turbo:

-Do we have a BOV or internal wastegate?
-What is stock PSI?
-If I buy a boost controller, what is the safest PSI to run it on?This means the PSI where I won't blow internals or need to adjust fuel mangement systems(low budget modder here!)
-How hard is it to install a boost controller?
-Where can I order a turbo timer? Do a really need one for a stock MSP?

Ok guys, as always anyhelp will be much appriciated(sp?). Thanks a bunch!

-Do we have a BOV or internal wastegate?

Haven't kept up with the MSP, so dunno about BOV. I would say no. If you do it is recirculating.

The wastegate is internal.

-What is stock PSI?

Around 6.5 if I am not mistaken. Again, haven't been up to date on the MSP.

-If I buy a boost controller, what is the safest PSI to run it on?This means the PSI where I won't blow internals or need to adjust fuel mangement systems(low budget modder here!)

There have been several people that have run 10-12 psi with no problems. 10 psi would be my limit if it were me. Invest in a Greddy A/F guage and maybe a EGT and keep an eye on them.

-How hard is it to install a boost controller?

Not hard. Follow the instructions. Altough they won't be MSP specific, it isn't hard.

-Where can I order a turbo timer? Do a really need one for a stock MSP?

You can get one from alot of online stores. Try http://www.spool-turbo.com and see if they have one. The Apexi unit is nice. It is very small and low profile.

Whether you need one or not is a hot topic. It has been debated over for years. Some people say no, some people say yes. My stand is that it won't hurt and having your car run after you cut it off and walk away is kinda cool.
