02.5 Protege5
OK, heres the deal, i ordered some 17"x7.5" Bronze Subzeros in +48mm offset. the guy calls me and says that his info says the Protege5 runs a +42. i tell him i checked around and i know its +48, then he says he doesnt have bronze in that offset, he only has gunmetal and silver, so i tell him to go ahead and cancel the order. Another reason i wanted it canceled was the fact that i would have to bore out thewheels a little to fit in the back.

I was originally gonna order from Rishie and AutoR&D but he said i'd have to order 40 units to get subzeros. I wanted to order from them because he bores them out before he ships them so they fit perfect on arrival.

Now the dilemma i face, I want new wheels, I want 17", I dont want to pay more that $700 shipped (no tires), and i dont want to have to modify them to fit on my car, and i dont want them to rub.

What the hell do i do?

I was looking at G-Racing Seki's and a few others, and talking to someone about MSP wheels they were selling. Will either of these rub?

What wheels can i get that fit into the criteria of 17", under $700 shipped, no mods to fit, and no rub. (BTW: i plan on lowering with eibach springs in the next few months)

I really wish Rishie wouldve been able to come through for me on this one.

sekis only come in 18 i believe.. mspeedpro has the rims that look like sekis that he might want to sell.. but i think his offset is only 45mm.. my sekis have a 48mm offset. but like i said.. only in 18
the thing u have to understand is for rishie to get that customer bore he has to order 10 sets at a time.. maybe u could set up a group buy with him or something.. i donno.. just tryin to help

what size tire are u planning on running? baggedp5 is selling some black 18s.. you might wanna pm him too. -=)

17" is what i said, ive seen the seki's in 17" on a site, im gonna e-mail terry from spool and see if he bores the subzeros out.

im sorta diggin these

i was originally going to go with those sokkudos.. but i dont think the offset was right..
good luck...

and if u scroll up.. i said what size TIRE.. not rim.. TIRE.. the height of the tire and the amount your car is dropped (or your planning to drop it) will also have alot to do with it. -=)

with +48 you should be able to set it way down with out rubbing a 215 tire... I have 215, 35, 18's on my MP3 and I have +45 offset, and I'm lowered 3"

ok, im gonna wait for spool to answer about the boring out of the subzeros, then i will order some konig holes in graphite (most likely)

matthew, i know youre at your computer, get on aim if you would be so kind, i want a side shot of your car so i can 'chop the wheels onto a black p5

konig holes in graphite have been ordered, im guessing theyre a replica of something? anyone know what?

Hey Stealth, Any other Rota with a 48mm offset will also fit fine . Only the SubZeros have the fitment issue in the rear. IMO, Battles look sick, and I think I saw some 17's in Rishie's shop the other night. ;)
