Area mechanic

Hi all,
This is my first post and I'm not sure if this is the correct section, but here goes. I have a 1990 Miata, garaged in Orange County, NY (Monroe) and I'm having a hell of a time finding a qualified mechanic to work on my car. I've tried the local Mazda dealer (Middletown) and each experience was worse than the first. Can anyone out there recommend a good mechanic in the Orange County area? Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

PS Orange County is pretty big, perhaps, OP, you should shrink your range down to the area around a large community, like Anaheim, or Newport Beach or Tustin, etc. Just some advice, as I am sure that a 30 mile trip to see someone when just as good an indy shop exists less than 10 miles away would be frustrating, especially in LA.

Ya, you are looking in the Mazda5 section, you should ask in the MX-5 section.

Wrong forum indeed. Thaxman, the OP is in Orange County, NY, not Orange County, CA. I'd say driving to LA for service would be a real waste of time Though in the OP's Miata it would at least be fun...
