are underglow lights legal?

hey i was just onedering if i put underglows on my car , if i would get a ticket , or something , ? are they legal, or does anyone who has underglows had a problem with police?

depends on local laws. they are legal here as long as you cant see the tubes

It also depends on the colors. Its obvious that in most places you arent allowed to have red or blue. Other places you arent allowed to have any at all because its such a distraction. They cant do anything to you if you have them on while parked. Go to the police department and ask them about it to be safe. I would say to ask a police officer but you might catch a total asshole whos going to lie to you.

i have red under mine and drive all the time with them on and the cops here are cool with it. I was going through WV once with them on and a stated trooper gave me all sorts of s*** for them, but here in KY its cool

yea i have the led 7 color change im not sure what the deal is on led since they use them it brake lights an such i generally live them on green for system i havent hada problem YRT knock o n wood.

We get hassled for everything down here now a days. If they pull you over and they get you to say you were street racing youll get thrown in jail its bs.

When you can see the tubes it looks tacky IMO.

i know my friend got some crazy amount of tickets for street racing and needless to say a year later he was allowed to drive again.

yu can only see the tube in ithe front and i cant figure out how to hide it god damn protege front bumpers!

Underglows are really hard to get away with. In Iowa you can't have red or blue under your car but you are gonna run a risk no matter what color you have. Mine are pretty well hid on my civic but I just don't want to chance driving around town so I save it for of the street and when cops are not arround. If you race your car, make sure you secure the lights real good. I lost one of my fronts going down the strip due to wheel hop. Man the Route 66 Motor Speedway is one sticky track.
