Are Mazda 6 Seats and CX-5 Seats compatible ?

Any one know if Mazda 6 front leather seats for any of the years 2014-present are compatible with the CX-5 ? What i mean by compatible is direct bolt on .

If not direct bolt on is it just the rails that are different for bolting to the floor and or the harness connectors etc... ?

Sometimes companies make different models of cars but the parts such as seats still swap/bolt in.

I'd be interested to know this as well. Even the 3 seats look comfortable. Are you asking for any particular reason?

Well i’ve been thinking of maybe one day swapping if I cant find cx-5 seats for sale at a decent price. The leathers seem to be more comfortable and I want factory seat warmers (I’ll source factory switch or build switch myself). I dont want to install aftermarket seat warmers.

We had Coach Automotive install seat warmers in our '15 Touring and love them. Contrary to the multiple comments about the slow warm-up of the factory heated seats, ours are toasty after a couple of blocks.

I have no hard data but Id be flabbergasted if the 6 and CX5 has the same seats given how different sedans are from crossovers in height and seating position. Seats are usually not very interchangeable between different models of cars.

Along with the swap, I would think you have to consider the airbags in the seats as well as the seat belts.

They may not be the same but you never know with the safety systems in the cars today.
