Are 7 bent protege5 wheels with severe curb rash worth anything?

So I have:

4 with no rubber on them and 3 with rubber. They're all the stock OEM five-spoke design.

I've taken them to get balanced at a few places and was told that they were out of round so now I've got cheap-o replacements.

But.. what to do with these? I doubt that they're worth anything to anyone for use on a car. Or would they? What would a scrap recycler give me? Do I just toss them into the dumpster behind Advance Auto Parts? :P

take em to a scrap/recycler. depending on the place you'll get somewhere between 0.50 and 1.00 a pound

They are worth their weight in aluminum, which unfortunately for you, the price went down the shitter a few months ago.

If you were closer I'd take a couple off your hands, since I have one that is so bent I'm surprised it holds air.

Normally when a tire/wheel is considered "out of round" it's the tire at fault.

Usually when a wheel is bent it will be visible on the outside lip. Roll them across the garage floor without rubber, if it's bent you'll notice when it rolls across the bend.

I'd pay to ship a couple, but I don't think I'd be willing to pay for them, in the event that they were bent.
