getting more power out of a rotary is a LOT harder than getting more power out of our engines. Hell, getting more power out of any naturally aspirated engine is tough. I remain optimistic.
i am hoping the AP does much more for the ms3 than what it presently does for the rx8. we got the press release from cobb and i have to say i was very underwhelmed by the results of the Stage 1 flash they have for it - a whopping 8 horsepower gain, no stage 2 flashes as of yet or street tuner. i'm betting we'll see better results on the ms3.
unfortunatley thats the story with cobb. the AP by itself NEVER does anything amazing on ANY car i have seen. sure it makes power with the upper stages, but is that because of the AP or the fact that by that time the car has.... a downpipe, mid pipe, cat-back, CAI, higher boost, new intercooler, exhaust manifold ??? of coarse that car is gonna make 50+ hp look at the frigging mods it has ! it is a nice tool, dont get me wrong, but it doesnt MAKE any power. it does help the stock ECU from going retarded from all the mods though. IMO the stock ecu does very well on this car. the ONLY reson i would but any EMS is if it had throttle control. but that is not a good enough reason for me, so i will more than likely never stray from a stock ECU. .......well never say necer i guess, but it is highly unlikey.

launch control would be an awesome feature, and throttle plate i'm pretty sure they've got nailed.
