I have a 6-disc stock unit from '05 that I don't need.

I realize he has dibs, but how much are you looking for it? I have a friend that wants one.

if someone is willing to let one go as long as I cover shipping, that would be awesome. :)

cheap sob... what you do with your original one???
I am cheap! I will be the first to admit it. but I still have the original one, I just drilled holes in it a while ago and want to get a new one :)

i have a stock 6 disc in dash out of my 04 but it has a square hole in the middle between the two knobs i had the bass knob there from the RFamp i had. willing to sell for a fair price...

the only reason I am getting rid of mine is the holes, it works perfect. So I dont think I will be interested, sorry silla3

behold, my holes....where the two switches are

I am working with a couple of development engineers on some new Mazda stereo products. I am looking to purchase an 05 and 06 stock, complete stereo. I need the faceplate and chassis unit for testing of these new products. I already have an 04 on its way.

Gambino, once my 04 unit gets here, i can swap you the clean lower trim panel for yours with holes. I dont care about holes on the test units.

Do those panels just pop off? I have never tried. if so, that is perfect

Yes, the lower section can be removed. For example, if you purchase the cassette deck that goes into the bottom of the radio, it comes with a trim panel for the cassette slot.

I havent removed one yet, you have to take the whole face plate off the radio i think to remove the trim panel. Once the 04 radio gets here i will figure out exactly how it comes off.

that part is easy to take off, just pull out the radio and you can pop it off, two little clips.
its an expensive little part from the dealer over a $100 just for that little cover.

If anyone has a stock bin for a 2006 Mazda 3 stock unit. I would love to PAY for one. I just don't think the $400 the dealer wants for it is justified.
