Gimmick. Usually just a resistor that creates a false low IAT or ECT voltage signal in an attempt to make the PCM deliver more fuel, which does next to nothing.

Spend 60 extra dollars and have your PCM reflashed to the MP3 tuning. SpicyorangeMSP does them, and there's a whole PCM for sale in the classifieds.

I looked into it a little more after reading this.

The only un-biased dyno run that I could find showed that the chip actually reduced horsepower. While there were a few people that reported positive results, they had nothing tangible to back it up with.

Buy it and report back.
