anyone use monster cable?

are their products crap? i recently got a 4ga wireing kit for $40CAN

they came with

4ga cable (long nuff to go to my trunk)
8ga cable
disto block
inline fuse
zip ties/etc

I use them for my home audio stuff. Speaker wire and signal wire...they work great. Good performance for the price.

They are very good cables. But you can get cable that is very comparable to Monster for about 1/2 the cost at places like Knukonceptz.com

The only MonsterCable I have is the wires going to the sub. Otherwise, I am with Rider on knukonceptz.

Are you sure it was a *real* monster cable kit that you get? 40$ CAN is like what...30$ US...for a full kit like that of monster cable? It doesn't jive...seen?

My personal experience has found that Monster Cable is some of the best stuff out there for home or car audio. I plan on replacing my stock RCA cable w/ the Monster Cable that I have from my previous car.

for $40 canadian, it was definately not the brand monster cable http://www.monstercable.com/caraudio1/default.asp as they are the most expensive brand, as well as best quality. it was probably some knock off that's named monster.

When I worked at Circuit City I used to buy Monster Cable all the time. I still buy it now thanks to friends of mine who are still there. Alot of markup on their stuff. But it's good. IIRC the employee discount was more than half off, and for larger purchases you could go through accommodation which took I think another 10-15 percent off, but then you had to wait a few weeks for it.

I've always spent the extra money on Monster Cable regardless if I could get the "friend" discount or not. The best part is the connectors, as they are always snug and don't wear out.
