Anyone up for a Deal's Gap weekend drive this summer?

This is supposedly one of the funnest drives on the east coast. Its about a 8-9 hour drive from Cleveland, via Columbus/Cincinnati. So, should be about 4-5 hours from cincy. We were discussing doing this sometime this summer, no dates have been set yet. I will post some pics MiaTurbo has taken on his runs on this stretch.

Deals gap, aka:Tail of The Dragon Many links from there, including maps, police updates, road conditions, events, etc. Think of it as an 11 mile autocross. but if you cross the line, instead of a 1 second penalty, you kill a biker... There are many other roads in the area as well, but that's the one the area is famous for. (a little self promotion: if you look on the 'trucks' page, I got a few pictures on it )

Basicly, what you do is drive all day, then drink all night talking smack. My advice to you is, do not eat before your first drive. I am serious, there is a reason we have a "Team Hurl" among our roadster community. We normaly stay at the Phillips Motel in Robinsville NC, which is about 15 minutes away. it's in 'town' and much cheaper than the resort Topica...

If I have the motor done in my miata I might be down lol unlikely. I don't think I'd want to drive that far to play with the P5 lol understeer. I guess I could get a rear sway before then though.

youu really need to visit D.C.! they don't repair...just swap the signs so people who live here get more lost than the tourists! If the map says january 2005 it's obsolete! I'm still trying to get a timeline set out but my job loves throwing random s*** at last minute...

well we are always up for a Chicago meet, maybe Atlanta, its about a 6-7 hour drive but we could go down for a weekend or something..
