I have played it, and thought it was a great idea. I'm just hoping upon release that they fix their network code. I agree, its one of the best online concepts, but some of the worst net code I've ever come across.

I've been playing Soldier of Fortune 2 Double Helix a lot. I did not buy it, but I think I will tommorow (payday). Its an EXCELLENT game and deserves the $50, not to mention you can't play online very easily without buying it.

i haven't played it but i heard its awesome...you can drive battleships and all kinds of stuff. its about to come out very soon on pc, but i hear that it will also be coming out for xbox!

Bump this baby. I just bought Battlefield 1942 a coupla days ago, and any spare time I've gotten I've been playing it . While it still seems to have some of the bugs from the demo (pokey network code), it is damn cool. The graphics are incredible.

My two main gripes with the game are that the infantry portion of the game needs work. It just doesn't feel right. It could be the laggy network code, or maybe the weapons are a bit off balance, but gunfights just don't seem to work very well. Second, people don't like to work as a team! (YET). I guess people just have to learn to play the game.

If enough people get this, we should setup a server so we know people are actually going to try and work together... Cool game though!

I believe it'll be out Q2 next year. That was what I heard initially at least. Man, the only reason I'd want an XBOX is for the Halo series . Oh well, at least there's Vice City!

yeah! im a diehard halo fan. hey DooMer_MP3, you ever try playing halo online? there's a way to do it for free. goto http://www.gamespy.com and dl a feel things. i have yet to play online because i don't have a cable modem yet...but once i do, i'll be on there quite often. we should organize a game of halo one day.

i only played the 1942 multiplayer demo...it was fun as hell online...but i haven't gotten the full version yet...the gameplay is great though...driving all the vehicles is fun but i still haven't learned how to aim the battleship guns from the sniper calls...but the sound is still kinda fuzzy online.

as far as i know halo2 is supposed to come out late next year...

I dont have an XBOX myself. Yeah I'm one of those PS2 lovers . I got my PS2 last year for Christmas from my girl, and had a very tough time deciding between XBOX and PS2. I think my decision fit me. GTA3 has been more than worth it. And Vice City?!

But yeah, I hear you can play Halo online with that hack. Awesome what people can come up with!

yeah, i actually don't have an xbox myself. i play on my brother-in-laws'. i play sparingly now since im in school, but when summer comes along, my entire day consists of it...sometimes i don't even remember to eat, drink, use the bathroom, shower. i love ps2 also. i'm thinking of getting one sometime. xbox may have a lot more potential, but ps2 keeps racking up all the GREAT games!!!
