Anyone interested in an exhaust like this?

judging the small market of exhuiasts for the msp and the nice craftmanship plus the longer piping compared to normal cat-bakcs being sold for our cars i would guess around 800-900??? i dont work for billet design or anything im just gaugein off the market we have and the materials used......

I am interested for sure. Just swap it with stock when Inspection rolls around.

Woo! Hi-flow cat as an option would be FANTASTIC.

And Insidious -- will you personally be selling the HKS muffler, or will we have to look elsewhere for it to hook up to your exhaust system? And if we DO have to get it from someone else, any recommendations on a seller/dealer, and d'you remember what you paid for yours?

Can't wait to hear the prices on everything. I think. :D

InsidiousMSP, should we even try to get excited about this? You did the same thing w/ the SRI and nothing has come of it thus far. So what are we to think? That we will all want this exhaust & then be left in the dark about it like w/ the SRI?

Terry from spool told me the reason they didn't go with 3" was because there was no way to do it without having any serious issues with clearance.

yup, and we all know where he's standing right now

very true, que pasa? insidious.....why ask billet to take on more projects if they cant even market a damn sri for us?!?!

Billet Design is still contemplating the short-ram intake sale. I will have more info on that soon. But for now, we're very serious about the 3" exhaust system. I have prices for you guys:

$739 - Full 3" exhaust (no cats) from the downpipe w/ N1 style muffler
Option: +$50 for HKS replica muffler (carbon fiber/titanium)
Option: +$200 for real HKS Carbon-Titanium Muffler
Option: +$100 for Highflow Cat

+Shipping

I will have pictures of these other mufflers later, just wanted to post the prices. More info very soon! I'll be posting a little audio file of my car in a few minutes.

Ok, this is a great deal! (Assuming it's as good as you say) First question is... where would this thing be shipping from? Second, I'll be sending you cash cuz if the wife sees this on the CC bill she'll kick my ass!!

"Hun... your muffler thingy looks different!" - nah... that's how it came!

"wow... is there something wrong with your muffler... it seems really loud!" - hmm... I'll have to take it into meinekie and have them take a look (note to self, turn radio on BEFORE starting car with wifey inside next time!)

Shoot...if I had a job, Man...if I had a job. That's sound's almost good enough to take off my MSP muffler, which I REALLY love.

.. OooOoOooOooh.

I'd love more info on the pricing with the hi-flow cat, as soon as you get get it, Insidious. But, then again .. if you don't believe the hi-flow cat would allow me to pass emissions, I guess it doesn't really matter, does it? Heh.

Or maybe, considering that you have the v-band couplings instead of the annoying flanges .. would that cut down on uninstall/install time, probably? If so, I guess I could always cheat and just throw the stock exhaust back on when it came to emissions time. Maybe. Overall, though, I'd rather just drop the money on an exhaust that I can keep on there without having to rip it off once a year.

And is that price you quoted subject to change? .. I don't exactly have that much $$$ on me right now -- I'm a poor college student, blech -- so it'd take some time for me t'gather it up. Basically, if I ask you about this exhaust a few months down the line -- is it still going to be available, and is the price going to remain the same?
