I received mine yesterday, but there was no instructions included.

I'm just curious if anyone has completed the install.

some of the speed3 guys have, but i haven't heard of anyone doing it on the 6.

you might want to hold off on these unless you can datalog. a lot of the speed3 guys that installed these seem to be having fuel pressure problems in which it drops when they are WOT. protege garage is recalling them and having the manufacturer fix the problem.

I believe that this kit was the new version...it was just released earlier this month.

Could be wrong - Anyone on here know?

i got them too but idk ken at protege garage never gets back to me on anything and i just wanna know the deal about these stupid internals if there bad id rather send them back and just get a new pump

This is from an email I received from Ken last Monday.

I have found Ken very good to deal with.

"Please remove and send your internals to the following address for warranty inspection by a Carpe Diem engineer;

Carpe Diem Industries
2423 Bluestone St
Stillwater, OK 74074

Upon receipt, all kits are going to be measured, rematched, and tested in a fuel pump on site with complete data logging done. Carpe Diem feels it was a quality control issue matching the two key components together after friction coatings were applied that is to blame. We will be approaching each faulty kit with the same methodical process and are at this point confident in the warranty process. We thank you for your continued business and cooperation.

If the kit ships monday, CDI will have them by the end of the week. Inspection and reassembly we are estimating at no more than one to weeks at most. We have seen customers with the daBears group buy post that they have installed with very good results, so we are confident this is a matter easily addressed and perhaps not as widespread as initially thought. Since the daBears kits were a seperate batch, the problems may be isolated more to the other batches shipped, and we feel it will not be an issue to get these back on track. Neither I, daBears or CDI will allow for a dissatisfied client.

Thank you
Ken"

Hope that helps you out man.

Alright I have gotten my fuel pump internals kit back from having the intended dimensions verified, however I still have not received any instructions on how to install it.

Protege Garage's website says the Maxflo Internals kit comes with "crystal clear instructions" - but they must be very very clear as I didn't see any in the package I received...

Does anybody else have them? If so can you scan them and email them to me?

Thanks in advance,

Ken fixed me up with the instructions yesterday.

If anyone else needs them PM me and I will get them to you.

I am going to install the kit tomorrow - I'll let everyone know how it goes and any differences the kit produces in drivability. (my car has the dreaded surging between 2000-3000 rpm)
