Anyone have the Wagner Motorsports Turbo Kit?

i think it will fit an auto, b/c the IC piping comes up through the hole near the wheel well.. where others go down near the tranny.

this kit looks cool but the only thing im concerned about is the fuel control, how does it compair the the haltech used by hiboost?

i think with an auto you might as well forget it...you can only boost up to 4-6psi max and it is not worth the money to get there...i'd look into swapping for a 5spd

there is also a thread in this section giving the reasons why the auto can't handle it

as for your questions i'm not sure if this kit will fit an auto

All I need is like 5psi. I was looking for a stage one type kit with an intercooler. I just need to know if there would be any problems with the IC piping. As far as speed goes I'm saving my money for a 350z or the new Skyline if nissan releases it in the states. Thanks

There is a true plug and play unit we are working on that will be an option like Hi boost.
You just take your ECU out and plug this one in:)
Very soon

Yeah, it seems Spool has been bought out, and for the time being is closed. Did noone else see that thread? It damn sad, I really liked Spool and their products.

will it cost more? what is the FMU?

The plug & play sounds damn good but how much boost will u pre-program it to run. I would like the idea of it being tuned for 15psi so that way I can run around town on 10psi safely. How much do u think this option will cost? But I have to be honest, the only thing that will officially sell me on ya'll's kit is that it NEEDS to be dynoed that is the only thing that is keeping me from being sold on the Wagner turbo

Andy is a really good guy to work with..He helped me to piece together my Turbo Kit...He installed it..and when i had issues he fixed them...His customer service is excellent..infact i am going back to him soon to get an inline fuel pump installed!

here is a pic of my turbo kit!

Still need to be painted..but it's winter..LOL!

P.S. Perf(Nick)..Return and a phone call please!

Well this is good news. Because I was planning on SPOOL Stage 1, but that isn't an option anymore. Even so, the IC setup with FMU/clamp looks great for the money.

wagner, will the non-IC kit be easily upgraded to a IC kit kind of like SPOOL's old kits where you could upgrade over time?

The wagner kit rules... I love it. I got mine right after Jaje got his.. the quality is top notch. and it runs great. I ran 5psi with the fmu, and now i run 7psi with the mpi piggyback.. i was gonna turn it up, but with winter here and the car running great I figured why mess with it. I dont think my snowtires are safe with that much power.
Customer service is top notch, and product quality is great. Andy is great to deal with also, he is very helpful.

...

Paul, how long did you run without the MPI, and did you swap ECUs with a ES/P5 to account for the MP3's advanced timing?

Chris

i ran it with the FMU for for atbout 3-4 months.. i ran 3psi at first then bumped it up to 5psi. I still have the mp3 ECU and always did:eek: I always ran 94octane gas since it was boosted.

I do WOT runs through a local tunnel all the time and everything sounds/feels great..:)

I have a msd knock sensor in my room, i just havent had a chance to install it. with the MPI i have my timing retarded so i "should" be safe, i was gonna swap a few times but never did, i still will, if I find someone local who will swap back if i want... After i put the knock sensor in, it will be interesting to see if i have any detonation.. I might do it sunday if im in the mood...

right now i am running .5 bar (about 7.5 psi) maybe a tad less. If i have no detonation i might turn her up a bit.

I can't wait. Really interested to see if I gain any more power than the 170hp at the wheels that Andy stated. I have the tri -point adj cam gears and the mazdaspeed intake cam and exhaust cam that SR morotsports sold about a year ago. I will let you know. Thanks
