Anyone have Stongard, or 3M protective film applied?

Thinking about getting this done when I pick the car up, probably just on the hood, fenders, front bumper and door handles, any of you guys have it?

How much did you pay, if so?

Have you ever realy seen that stuff, applied i mean ? I can't imagine why anyone would want to do this to a new car. True it claims to protect and probably does, but is it worth the hidious look. If you guys have never seen this in person .. bolo .. for isuzu rodeos or any other suv with rear mounted windshield wipers, most have the clear strip where the wiper sits to protect the paint. I could never as a custom car enthusiast bring myself to applying this film on any vehicle. Sorry didn't mean to rant.

I've seen this on a bunch of cars, and if applied correctly you can't even tell it is there unless you are right on top of it. Find a place that does it and see some examples of the work they have done.

I don't have it on the body, but I do have it on my headlights and fogs.

You might want to take a real look at the product on thier Website first www.invinca-shield.com. I have Purchased this product already, and Will be installing it this week. It is completely transparent and thin. I have seen it installed on many cars (many Friends have it) and you can not tell it's even on the car until you are bout 12 inches away. At about 12 inches away all you can barely see is a faint outline of the Material. Not looking for a debate, But the product is a great alternative to the traditional type bra and come's with a 5 year warranty check out the website.

AAAGH! Stop the Random capitalization, Please! It makes me Think I'm going Insane.

I would expect to pay $500-$800 installed for the full front end and headlights.

does it hold to your lenses by static cling or does it stick with adhesive?

I struck up a conversation with a sign maker the other night and he is going to sell me a strip of clear 3M static wrap which I am going to cover my lenses with and want to know if it will stick to them on its own.

It is held on with some extremely sticky adhesive...That stuff is tough. You have to be really careful handling and use the supplied waxy paper to apply it. It's held up for a year so far, with not one bit of trouble. I think you can actually buy that clear 3M adhesive at places like Advanced Auto, but I'm not positive. Anyways, good luck!

it is installed my girlfriends P5 and I think I will put it on my MSP you can't even tell it is there...and it seems to be holding up. She has 27000KM on it so far..

Depending on the color of your car will determine how much the product shows, but when the car is washed nad it is nice outside. You cant barely see it from ten feet away.

StonGard has the Protege ktis on sale right now. Chek out the vendor section for the ad. The sale ends at the end of the month.

Yes -

You can remove it. If ever wanted to there is a trick though. I am sure why you would want too. Anyways it is guaranteed to last as long as you own the car anyways.
