does anyone have satellite radio out there? i wanted to get it cuz ill be driving back and forth from college and don't wanna change cd's and radio stations all the time. i just wanted to see if anyone had it, which one they bought, and where they put that stupid antenna? thanks guys im a newbie with a 2003 black manual

Welcome to the board. Got it, love it! Mounted antenna on trunk deck lid, others have mounted the antenna on the inside of the deck lid (in trunk) and inside the car on the back glass shelf area.
Where are you going to college? I spent my formative years in Northeast Mississippi, and I know your radio choices are slim!!!!

im going to auburn here in alabama and i just don't wanna change radio stations like three times on the way up and i can listen to it in the dorm and stuff. do you have any pictures of it in there i just wanna see it. im just ocd about stuff not looking good cuz it's my first new car and all. thanks a lot man i never thought of it there.

I had xm with my prior car, it was a pain in the butt cause, i had to keep calling xm to resignal cause i wasn't getting any stations. but I think it was due to faulty equipment on the car. On the other hand my brother has xm and has had no problems at all. Its cool out of all of the 100 something stations though i only listened to 3 :D maybe 4

I called Sirius today and they say that the antenna is on backorder for another week and a half. When I asked how long they had been on backorder they told me a couple of months. It's a good deal I guess but I'm waiting a week and a half and calling them back to make sure they have the antenna and receiver in stock. Oh, that is if your talking about sirius and not xm. he he!

i dont think im going to be picky on which service really i just didnt want some ugly wire hanging out the top of my car? what's the differences between the services anyways?

Probably not much of a diferance. If you only have a cd player in your car it awfully epensive cause you have to buy all the extra goodies when it comes to xm. The car adapter is like 65 and the rf modulater for those with only a cd player is like 49. Add that to the cost of the unit. Now if you want to play it in the dorm room you have to but the adapter to your stereo which is another 65. Altogether you are looking at 179 just for the accesories. Just a little info I thought I should share with you. I sell the xm systems at work. We actually sell quite a few.

look in the car audio section for more satelight info then you can shake a stick at!

we got a special at circuit city where you buy a kenwood radio that's sirius ready (certain models) and you get a free sirius tuner. it's a kenwood tuner too. that thing is $149.99 and you get it FREE. but, you must activate within 30 days and the antenna is not included. but hey, that $150 is the cost of a years subscription.

thanks guys i figured i would go with the radio thing possibly but id really just like to buy like the delphi thing i figured it'd cost me in arm and a leg but we got christmas coming!(laugh) and i have a bunch of people that have to buy me graduation presents and crap.

Does anyone have any pictures of a antennae on a P5? I'm going to install one, and I'm not sure how to route the sucker. It's a magnet one...

I had put one on my girlfriend's 6 and that was no big, routing it through the trunk and eventually up through her center console, but I'm not seeing a clear route for my car and I DO NOT want to puncutre or harm my baby in any way. Please let me know!

just run it through the hatch and up through the rubbery stuff around the hatch and set the magnetic antenna on the top of the car.
