im looking for the thread with the pictures of that red p5 with the gold/ bronze rims.

i cant recall too much about it, i think it had a roof rack on, and the pictures were very professional.

Thanks for the help.

that car is sweet. ive never seen it before.
my sister was just telling me she see's it all the time at cerritos college.
i can tell from him repping FLUX he is from this area. i know a couple guys that are in FLUX.

i love it too. those gold rims look hot on that car and the kit (who supplies it?) makes it sit REAL low.

where can I get this badge-less grill in black for my P5 ?

thats the autoexe grill.

you can find that or many replicas being produced by various companies.

if you arent keen on getting them painted the DG motorsports carbon fiber grill would work.

jflo - wheels are ordered and are set to land in sydney this weekend. give it another 7-10 sleeps i guess.

do mintblue have a website to order the kit from?

BUT SHITTTTT........ IM NOT HATING............NICE COLOR TOO!!!!!!:D

not that much under the hood, but exterior wise its a very complete and cohesive look.

dont worry mike, we still drool over your msp5 ;)

Someone, please post some links where I can buy that grill - thanks.

I wouldn't mind the carbon fiber one...

I give the guy props. His ride is VERY nice. I think he's got one of the nicest red p5s around. If he was up for some constructive criticism, I would have went with different wheels but in the same color. That color goes great with red. I would have thrown some 3 pc racing hart 18" CRs with better tires like nitto 555s. The tires on there appear cheap by looking at the treads closest to the sidewalls, almost like all season radials or something. There's just some tires that look harder than others by the look of the treads from the side. Does anyone know what tires he's rolling on? And with the more aggressive look, you definitely need to have an engine to match. You'd need a turbo for sure or else you'd be asking to get your ass spanked everytime you're at a light and another car pulls up wanting to test you.(pretty much any car can beat our stock p5s) All in all however, this p5 still looks great. My hats off to him. It must feel good to be able to say that he was the first one in the us with the kit. I give him the benefit of the doubt since his was the first one I saw. I take solace in "thinking" I was the first in the us with the wings west setup and 18" C2s. It's funny how most of us strive to be original when it comes to our cars but when others have access to the same parts and accessories as we do, the title of being the first quickly gets challenged and refuted or the look ends up getting played out big time and we're back to being a regular joe again. I'm just glad I was able to enjoy that feeling for the little time it was with me. I find the whole braggin rights issue quite amusing even though I was guilty of it too. My "original."

His car has been around a while, since late 2002 at least.

You might be able to say he doesn't have "much" on his car, but its all ultra high quality JDM nonsense.

Bride seats w/ takata harnesses - I only know 2 protege's with these, maybe 3 by the summer :) , and you can't get anymore JDM than that.
JIC flt-2a coilovers - you can't get better than these coilovers for our cars
Gramlight 57pro's in 18's - great wheel wrapped in pretty good toyo's
and finally the mintblue kit, which everybody thinks is the hotness. If you wanted to copy this car, your looking at about 7k for all that stuff, w/o labor, paint, etc. But then you'd have one of the most high quality p5's around. Got to remember, its quality, not quantity.
