yea I was thinking of relocating the MAF too, but I talked to my friend he has an rx-7 haha yea but I decided not to either. I rather not shorten the life of the MAF, but a lot of people have other opinions to say. I depending on the performance I might just take the Forge BOV off and keep the FOrge BPV on. But we will see. Won't i be venting or leting off more pressure if i run a BOV and BPV? I'll be getting DSM's AFC, bigger injectors, and a bigger fuel pump once I recoupe from the money loss of the core. Buying a better core is gonna slow things down but its alright. I might have my Forge bov for sale in the coming weeks we will see.

i may need that forge bov my friend. do you know what the diameter of the silicone tube they provide with the kit is exactly?

yea i ran the dual setup on stock pipes like a jackass. worse idea ever. i mean the car did run a bit better for like 1 day and i did have the bov sound, oh watch out for the mean 6 psi blowing off...seriously wasn't worth it. either way, ever since that day, i've had a vac leak in my car. i have never really driven a true msp, mine was always ******. misfiring cylinders, constant vacuum leak, and then the engine finally blew. so when i get my car back after all the mods i'm getting, i'm pretty much getting a brand new car either way, totally different ballpark too. back to point, i think the whole dual setup was just so that people can have the bov sound without stalling, it served no performance issues whatsoever, although i did get better throttle response the day i installed it, but not sure if it is related. it really depends on what you are trying to do with your car. i get my info from nick because i'm a complete newbie. if you have some time i would give him a call and ask, great free advice. he's educated me on a lot of aspects, which i completely agree with and have researched myself eitherway, despite what many people have to say. eitherway, i don't think i have any more feedback to give on this subject anymore, so good luck with your quest for an aftercooler

Thanks for the link, but the Intercooler listed doesn't have the size I need.

EDIT** Look on page 3 and my post for picture..

Here is the one that I bought:

http://focus.c-f-m.com/browseproducts/Precision-Turbo-Front-Mount-Intercooler-for-Ford-Focus.html

http://www.precisionturbo.net/intercoolers-display.php?company_id=101795&category_id=3013

It's the smallest one listed. Nice compact design, uses a Garrett core and will support up to 350hp. Should be able to find one for about $230 or so.

31x6x3

or

31x6x3.5

I looked at just the plain old cores but don't see the size, plus the height is too tall. Any more help Ben?

Thanks for the link, now I just have to wait for a reply from MAM to see what size i.c. can work with my piping I am going to use.

Here is a little advise. Do not buy the cheap intercoolers. There is a big difference between these and the American made cores. We did a test with 5 different intercooler cores of the same size but different brand. The results were amazing. 34 WHP difference between the worst and the best.

The test was conducted in the same car while at the dyno and at the same conditions.

Wow, that does show difference, well I will just wait a a little more then to get a brand name one, hopefully when i get paid this coming friday i will have enough. By the way does anone or can anyone tell the dimensions of this FMIC ?

EDIT** I know the core itself is 24x6x3.5 that is without endtanks, i don't know what the size is with endtanks.

Alright it has been confirmed. I need a Intercooler Core with centered endtanks with the dimenision of

31"X6"x3.5"

or something close to that, the only thing that can change is the thickness which can be lowered to 3" and the endtanks need to be 2.5" inlet and outlet

So any help would be appericated.

oh man, I hate the oem smic its so depressing

I believe it's the one they used on the turbo diesels in Europe.

The MSP was just a step in the right direction... but yeah.

Here ye go:

Though for $175 I'm not sure if the quality is really up to par with spearco, garrett, precision, ARC etc etc
