I was wondering if anyone had a greddy bov. I searched everywhere and cant seem to find someone with it. Most people have the hks but I dont really like the high pitched sound. For those of you with the greddy bov do you like it and are you running vta or recir. Does is sound like the hks? Thanks

I think there are a couple of people with MS6's on here that have them.

you might want to mosey over to the speed protege section and see what they have. You might get a few more responses.

I had a Greddy Type R on my car for about a week or two. I had to modify the intercooler cover a little but not a lot. I had it running VTA and had no problems and prefered it since it was just a rush of air instead of the HKS 'HEY I'M OVER HERE LOOK AT ME' high pitch.

yes just got the greddy adaptor from ATP, I think I I had to widen the holes a little bit for some reason. I remember just running a file through the holes and then it worked fine.

i have the greddy type rs on my MS6 but i bought the recirc. adapter because ive ran into ECU problems on past cars running VTA on a MAF sensored car. You will run into problems because your ECU has accounted for that air that you are leaking to the atmosphere. Its a nice loud sound too even with it recirculating

I have the type S in recirc. It has the Pssshhhht followed by a high-pitched Geeeessshhh. The Geeeessshhh can be adjusted though if you take it apart.

I have a type S on my MR2 Turbo.

I ran it open for awhile and it was MEAN and NICE sounding, but I have to recirculate it or my car runs like crap, so I recirculated it, it still sounds WAY louder than stock and it works great.

Do yourself a favor if you get a Type S, (not sure about the RS) there are 2 nipples on it. A bigger one and a smaller one. The bigger one takes a vacuum source (like as in the one that feeds the stock valve). The smaller one takes a source of boost from the turbo to the wastegate (so you Tee into the turbo to wastegate feed line and send one side to the wastegate and one side to the turbo).

Before I did that it worked but it wasnt as responsive as Id hae liked. After I did that, it was much more responsive and had a better tone to it.
